Many small and large companies have a website with a dedicated domain name. However, some of them use a generic email address (eg Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) for their online communications. Worse still, is the use of email addresses provided by Internet Service Providers (eg @telus.net, @bell.ca, etc.). Using these providers may help you save a few bucks, but at the expense of your professional image. If you have purchased a domain name for your website, you can create email addresses using the same domain name (eg www.okwebdesign.ca and email address ).
Here are two options at varying prices
Use your Cpanel provided by your web hosting
When you choose your hosting for your website, the offer often comes with a control panel commonly called Cpanel. Depending on your plan, you may be able to create an infinite number of email addresses and the disk space used will be shared with your website. For example, if you opt for web hosting at OKWebDesign, you can use your disk space for your website as well as for your e-mail addresses at no additional cost. For more information, contact us.
Offers from your domain name provider
Domain name providers often have great offers for your business emails. For example, if you opt for the most popular domain name provider Godaddy.com, you will pay $6.99 Canadian per month by email for 5 Gig of space. Need more space? Other slightly more expensive options are also available.
OKWebdesign's opinion on this?
Opt for the first option. It is much cheaper and already included in your website hosting package. To properly manage your disk space as needed, simply program your Outlook or other software to erase e-mail from the server as it downloads it to your computer.
